Rev. Nina C. Stone

Rev. Nina C. Stone is a woman of faith, saved by grace, whose spiritual foundation is built on the Word of God. To describe her in one word it would be "BLESSED."

Rev. Stone is a firm believer in prayer and tries diligently to live her life so that anyone following in her footsteps will end up in heaven. She is the wife of Rev. Dr. Johnny R. Stone, pastor of the Hill Street Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA; the mother of one awesome son, Derrick; the grandmother of one beautiful granddaughter, Dejza and she and her husband are blessed with ten godchildren sprinkled between Virginia and Texas.

She is very active in several areas of her church, which include:

  • coordinator for the Women of Grace Ministry
  • Daughters of Promise (young girl's ministry)
  • Psalm III praise dance ministry
  • Teacher for the New Disciples Class and Teen Bible Study class

Rev. Stone also enjoys assisting and supporting her husband in the many capacities of his ministry as well. She is employed with the Judicial Branch of the federal government and has been for the past 20 years.

Rev. Stone believes in community involvement and has volunteered for several organizations such as Crisis Line of Central Virginia, Resource Mothers Program, Bib Brothers/Big Sisters and the Virginia Ten Miler.

Rev. Stone is an avid reader and enjoys uncovering the revelations found in studying the Word of God, thereby discovering the scripture that has captured her souls, dwells in her spirit and fuels her passion for Christ. That scripture is Acts 20:24 which states, "But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." Her desire is to not only save souls through witnessing and teaching the Word of God but also by living a life before others that reflects Christ through and through.
